SANTA BARBARA

Our studio stepped in after another design firm had begun work on this State Street condo, taking the project through a thoughtful reworking of the original plans. We reimagined key spaces, adjusted portions of the layout, and fully redesigned the custom cabinetry, finish details, lighting, furnishings, paint palette, and overall material direction throughout the home.

Located along one of Santa Barbara’s busiest commercial corridors, the project presented a unique challenge: transforming a dated condo into a space that felt calm, elevated, and deeply residential despite its urban setting. Guided by a warm, textural, and timeless approach, we layered plaster finishes, rich oak tones, natural stone, aged brass, and organic materials to create a home that feels both refined and inviting.

Arched forms, earthy tonal layering, and handcrafted details help soften the clean architectural lines, bringing warmth and cohesion to each room while allowing the natural light and relaxed spirit of Santa Barbara to remain at the forefront.
